Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje como estrategia de inclusión educativa de niños con necesidades educativas especiales en Educación Inicial.

El Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje (DUA) constituye un marco orientado a anticipar la variabilidad del alumnado y reducir barreras de acceso, participación y aprendizaje. El objetivo de esta revisión sistemática fue analizar la evidencia publicada entre 2021 y 2025 sobre el DUA como estrategia de inclusión, con especial atención a niños con necesidades educativas especiales en Educación Inicial. Se realizó una revisión sistemática con síntesis narrativa conforme a PRISMA 2020. Las búsquedas se efectuaron en Scopus, SciELO, ERIC, Web of Science y Google Scholar, en español, inglés y portugués. Se identificaron 60 registros; tras eliminar 20 duplicados, se cribaron 40 registros y se excluyeron 19 por período o pertinencia, por lo que 21 estudios integraron la revisión. El corpus incluyó revisiones sistemáticas, metaanálisis, estudios empíricos, trabajos aplicados y análisis conceptuales. Los hallazgos muestran una asociación del DUA con accesibilidad, participación, diversificación de la representación, acción y expresión, compromiso y reducción de barreras. Sin embargo, solo tres estudios se relacionaron directamente con Educación Inicial, mientras 18 aportaron evidencia indirecta o transferible desde otros niveles y contextos. La heterogeneidad metodológica impidió estimar una magnitud única de efectividad. Se concluye que el DUA ofrece una arquitectura pedagógica compatible con la inclusión, aunque la evidencia específica para primera infancia continúa siendo limitada. Se requieren estudios empíricos comparativos y longitudinales que evalúen participación, aprendizaje, autonomía, interacción y pertenencia en niños con necesidades educativas especiales.
