Gamificación e inteligencia artificial: nuevas estrategias para la motivación estudiantil

Resumen

La disminución de la motivación, la participación limitada y la falta de personalización representan desafíos persistentes en los sistemas educativos contemporáneos. Frente a esta problemática, la gamificación y la inteligencia artificial han adquirido relevancia como estrategias capaces de transformar la experiencia de aprendizaje. El objetivo de este artículo fue analizar las contribuciones de la integración entre gamificación e inteligencia artificial al fortalecimiento de la motivación, el compromiso y los resultados de aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Se desarrolló una revisión integrativa de 20 publicaciones académicas divulgadas entre 2014 y 2026, seleccionadas mediante criterios de pertinencia temática, revisión por pares, disponibilidad de DOI y relación con la motivación, la personalización o el compromiso estudiantil. Los resultados se organizaron en cuatro categorías: elementos motivacionales de la gamificación, personalización mediante inteligencia artificial, retroalimentación y acompañamiento inteligente, y riesgos pedagógicos y éticos. La evidencia indica que la combinación de desafíos, metas, narrativas, retroalimentación inmediata y rutas adaptativas puede incrementar la competencia percibida, la autonomía, la participación y la persistencia. Sin embargo, los efectos dependen del diseño pedagógico, la mediación docente y la correspondencia entre las mecánicas utilizadas y los objetivos educativos. Se concluye que la inteligencia artificial puede superar algunas limitaciones de la gamificación tradicional al personalizar las experiencias, pero su implementación debe evitar la dependencia de recompensas, la vigilancia excesiva, los sesgos algorítmicos y la sustitución del esfuerzo cognitivo.
